The identity of Borneo Art Collective is based on the basic concept of individuals coming together to form a singular vision in the Borneo context.

 

It was apparent that the ideology of the platform is parallel to the idea of weaving — the meeting of two or more elements woven into a whole.

 

Researching through the numerous weaving patterns of Borneo, the ‘Mata Punai’ or pigeon’s eye of the bidayuh tribe stood out the most. The meeting of bamboos forming into the visual of an eye or vision translates fully the story of Borneo Art Collective.
